Hi I’m a 17 year old female who lives in southern California. I have been living with my dad for the past two years and have supervised visits with my mom.
How could I change custody from my dad to my aunt and uncle? They live in Utah and would love to take care of me for the next year until I am 18. Can I do this legally without having to bring in lawyers? My parents are going through a nasty divorce thats lasted for the past 6 years.

Hi My name is Jessie and I am 13 years old. I live with my older 14 year old brother "Bob" and mother "Ann". (Not really their names). We are currently living in a terrible and tiny town home. We have no backyard and we have two dogs that really NEED one. We have annoying and loud neighbors who frequently throw parties at midnight and wake everybody around them up, and we are getting blamed for dog feces lying around, which isn’t from our dogs. Anyway, My mother is into one story houses with a pool, nice yard, nice sized house, etc. If she’s into that type of housing, what are we doing here? My question is this: I really want to move to Temecula because my aunt, cousin, uncle, and baby cousin live out there. It has a nice climate, nice school district, (Not saying my current one isn’t swell), nice houses, CHEAPER houses, (and I mean CHEAPER! Hundreds of thousands and millions of dollars cheaper), but there’s no beach in Temecula. I love the beach and so does my mother and brother, but we would only live approximately 45-one hour away from it. We are currently living in Southern California (Not giving out exactly where) and I HATE it! Yeah sure, parts of it are super nice and sunny, but it’s too expensive! My mother isn’t sure if we are going to buy or rent something out in Temecula, IF we move there. I really want to move there and I think it will be in our best interest if we do. How should I convince my mother and brother to actually want to move to Temecula? It’s really nice, and it’s cheap. Also, can you give me websites that show houses for sale and for rent? Besides craigslist please. I search everyday for homes for sale or rent in Temecula and show my mother, but she just says, "Yeah, it’s nice." What is that supposed to me? She says she likes it, so why not do anything about it? It annoys me a lot. Also, if you could give me links to any houses for sale or for rent in Temecula only! I was born in northern california in nineteen-nintythree in sacramento. i lived with my parents for six years then they got divorced. i lived with my dad for four years then moved to my moms and im still with my mom today with my little brother.
in two thousand i started playing baseball, but i wasnt very good at the sport. i played right field. during two thousand and one my dad and grandpa got me into sailing and now im a member of st.francis yacht club in san fransisco. sailing is my life now.
when i was three years old my dad started teaching me how to ski when we moved to lake tahoe. Now ive been skiing for 14 years and its the best!
during a lot of the spring breaks and summer times, my family would go out on a cruise to mexico or hawaii and i would have the best time ever with my family. during summer my favorite time would be out on lake tahoe in the boat just having a great time with my friends and family. we go wakeboarding and surfboarding and swimming.
my favorite time in my life is high school. next year is going to be my last year of high school and so far the last three years were amazing! i would never trade it in for the world.

I’m a fifteen year old guy and I live in the south bay in southern california (very safe area). I’m having A LOT of anxiety, fear, and worries in every day life. I have fear of death, shootings, crime, cancer, and many other things. I can’t even go outside of my own town or the town next to it without feeling like I’m gonna be in a shootout or someone will attack me. At school, I fear a shooting every day (remember there is virtually no violent crime where I live). When I went to venice with my family, I wanted to leave the whole time because I just have that fear in crowded areas. Well i am 16 turniing 17 in October and I live in Southern California. I am responsible for myself and just want to be independent already. I am tired of living in California and I want to move to Nevada. My mother cannot because she is getting divorced and since my brother is still young they don’t let her move. Through my whole life ive been pretty unhappy; My family was never really a family because we never went out together or did normal things a typical family does and well that has kind of traumatized me. I am also tired of being told what to do and it makes me feel trapped and imprisoned and i can’t take it anymore. I was so unhappy i tried to kill myself two weeks ago but after than I realized that is not a solution to my problems. I know my mom loves me but I am simply not happy anymore. I also have a boyfriend that I have been with for over 3 years and since I tried to kill myself she is trying to separate both of us and won’t let me see him; she say I have to wait until I am 18. I see no difference I mean what’s the difference between now and 18? She says I can be with him just not see him. So i’m really tired of this because I just want to be happy and independent; make my own money, buy my own things ect. So how can I get emancipated and move to a different state because this is confusing me.

Yes, I have seen and read the book and movie Into the Wild. There’s not much going for me in life right now. I’ve been laid off, divorced, and robbed in the last year. I fell I am being Sexually Harassed in my place of work. I am just naturally a nice social person and I am a receptionist at a front desk so it is in my job description to be nice. If people walked in no matter who they are if I ignored them I would get in trouble. We all rent the building that I am in and I work for the reality company on the main floor. Then downstairs is a financial advising company and upstairs is an advertising company but there is only one front door that leads directly to me. There is a man that works down stairs who when he walks in to go down stairs I say hi like I’m suppose to and then he takes the conversation further with how are you so on so forth. Like I said I am a social person but yesterday he took it to a new level that made me very uncomfortable. He was telling me how he is just recently divorced and he moved here to Oregon from southern California and how alone he is and stuff like that. I was kind of taken back and just was like oh I’m sorry. He was telling me how he has really pretty pictures of the beach from southern Cal and then he was just like, “give me your email address and I’ll send them to you” I know I should not have given it to him but I did and he sent me then with an IM of “hey sexy did you get the pics?” I emailed him back and said I am 17 and that was not appropriate. I made it very clear that it was not ok to say things like that. He is like my dad’s age and it is so gross. He sent me back a message that we should just be friends that I’m very friendly and nice and things like that. Nothing as inappropriate as “hey sexy” but I am still not comfortable with him emailing me and I want him to stop. I replied to that message and said we can be work colleagues. Even though I don’t even technically work with him our different companies just work in the same building. This situation is so complicated and I don’t know what to do. I don’t want to get in trouble for giving him my email but I wasn’t doing it thinking something like this was going to happen. He sent me more pictures today and I just didn’t respond even though he sent an attached message that says if I want to see more pictures of southern California he has more. I don’t even want to see him but I have no choice. I don’t know what to do. I know it was so dumb to give him my email and looking back now I wouldn’t do it but it would have been really awkward to how to figure out how to tell him no. I just don’t know.
