When my son was an infant,there was a dna test done because his father didnt sign papers claiming paternity. We had to go to the child support office in the courthouse where a woman told us that we had to do custody 50/50,and that we had to make up a schedule or the courts would do it for us. That was really all that was said…..? I don’t remember signing anything agreeing to anything or saying i would do anything…and if i did i dont have any paperwork stating so. We never went in front of a judge, no paperwork was signed (if any is usually done). What makes 50/50 custody legal? There was nothing said about joint physical custody,joint legal custody and so on…..?What I’ve said is actually ALL that was said/done about it, is this something set in stone..legal? My sons father is mad at me for deciding to collect child support for the first time in 4 years now saying i cant take him to texas in feb. can i just take him?When he has no proof that he is even supposed to be with him?help

She says that the amount (00) covers filing (5) the papers and any hours billed after the retainer are at 5/hr. I have prepared most ofthe paperwork myself and there (as it stands) are no conflicts. She said it all depends on the lefwork that has to be done. Does this seem good?

Wow, ok, so my case is easy, but my finances are low. I need some one to ensure that all my court documents are correct, and I am not missing anything.

My Case: Well my child support is being modified by the state. I have 1 child that I am paying for, which is the child in question. My support is going up about 300 extra dollars a month, and I can’t afford that. I have 2 other children that I support, from my current marriage. My wife just got off bed rest, so I am the only one with the income. I seen a lawyer today, and she ran some numbers, and it looks like it would be about 240 a month. I can manage that. I just can’t afford her services, and there is so much paperwork, I don’t know what to do.

Is there anyone in my area that can help with paperwork. I can pay by the hour, but I can’t afford 00 up front. I don’t need to be represented in court. I just want to make sure everything is filled out correctly, and nothing is left out. I don’t want my proposal to be thrown out because of one little mistake.

One more thing, I want to modify the custody. There is no paranting plan, and my son’s mother has custody. I am sure she will agree to split custody and we can work out a parating plan. So there will be not ugly battle in court. Again, I just need to ensure that all paperwork is included, and I need to be led in the right direction.

Any help is possible. I just can’t afford big up front cost, but I can pay, and work out a payment plan. I am sure this is easy work for somone who knows what they are doing.

I am getting a divorce and my husband is trying to take advantage of me and I don’t have money for a good lawyer. I talked to legal aid and they only file for paperwork and don’t go to trial. I really need help. If anyone knows any lawyers in the Central Florida area that are cheap or are willing to take on pro bono cases, I would greatly appreciate it!!

wife doesn’t believe me. says i need medicine. in part i have poor coping here 8 yrs. made no friends tried firefighting visited the issue about moving and i did not make it happen. I have a hard time doing stuff it is hot and all the things i used to do where i lived before aren’t down here. i am irritable. I work outside in the heat doing plumbing and she is in an office at a job she wanted from a young age. which is great i know were both tired after work but i actually hate it tried many other pursuits emt in orange county service plumber in riverside tried to get into paramedic school not enough room for everybody i actually have the letter stating that. she believes O.C. is a place i would love ummm i grew up out there and i told her i hate the crowds i hate the traffic i hate the attitude of the people here we bought a house in a town i thought if i put roots down with an investment i could focus on really trying. well even though she signed the paperwork. well now all her family except her mom has moved out of state. she tells me that i need pills to make me like living here. i can’t emotionally stand 1 leaving my kids i went through a divorce and 2. i love her but i have a difficult time hiding my miss Match with this place we have moved around the surrounding areas a few times. i also would consider myself an equal (not to good for house chores) to the point that the outside of our house is hideous and the car repair is not good.

My fiancee is currently going through a divorce and child custody. The attorney will have the paperwork ready by next month our only problem is that we have no address. She moved because she found out that we had it. We have some info on her and so I really have Three questions. The first would be would they be able to find her? can they serve her with the divorce papers and about how much would this cost. If anyone has been through a situation like this or is a PI any info would be helpful. We would go and find her ourselves the problem is that she is in orange county, Ca and we are in Florida.
For the first person to answer this question it is my business. We are a couple and he has asked for my help. Secondly, his wife cheated on him first then ran off and refuses to sign the divorce papers even though she’s with another dude. Thirdly he hasn’t seen his daughter in almost a year!! i want to help him find her so he can see his child again. How rude!

Ok this is for a friend but not me.

She is attempting to file for divorce but the paperwork is to confusing and she also cannot find her now ex. She cant afford to pay for her legal services her self, and she has also attempted to go to the local self help center at our court house but they dont do much else then give her the paperwork and tell her to refill it out. What other resources does she have? She is located in LA county.

I originally filed for Divorce in California in the year 2000 and my wife filed a response within 30 days, successfully starting the divorce process. Since that time though, I have been unsuccessful in getting her to respond and proceed with the rest of the paperwork. What should I do? Can I refile and hope that she won’t respond to the second petition or am I locked into this middle-of-divorce status. What can be done to legally complete the divorce process?
