Receiving Child Support, but What About Other Expenses?

Orange County, California: I have sole physical custody of my two boys and receive about a week for child support from the boys’ mother. However, I have paid for ALL of the general expenses throughout the year (sports regisration and fees, dentist bills, haircuts, clothes, etc). These expenses are now in the thousands of dollars and I think that their mother should help pay for at least some of this cost.

What is the best way to handle this, other than hiring a divorce attorney? How can I get her to start paying for some of these expenses?

Thanks!

Withholding Child Support?

Orange County, CALIFORNIA – My ex-wife and I divorced in November, 2009. I have sole physical custody of our two children and we share joint legal custody. The judge ordered her to pay me a week for child care expenses (she is paying me in cash because she doesn’t have a job or a checking account). She has recently told me that she is going to start withholding payment because she said I took things out of her apartment (I didn’t).

What should be my next step? Not getting the /week isn’t going to hurt me that much, but I want to make sure the court knows what she’s doing. What forms should I submit? Who should I contact? How long is the process? Etc. Any advice regarding how to handle this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

What kind of free public assistance and support is there for traumatic brain injury victims?

Hi, I am concerned about my mother. She is 53, I am 23, and I have a 17 year old sister. About 7 years ago my mom had a brain aneurysm which almost killed her. After months of surgeries, time in the ICU, and rehabilitation she was able to get back on her feet for the most part, even though she’s never really been the same. Sadly, over the past 6 months or so, my mom’s health has seriously deteriorated. She had a small stroke that went undetected for awhile, and has since lost her job due to inability to perform. She is barely able to function in the sense that she can’t get herself to do anything, feels physically ill often, and has erratic behaviors and emotions. She can’t seem to even get herself to the doctor on her own as she lacks any organizational skills or motivation anymore, and also has trouble communicating effectively. My mother is divorced and any extended family we have lives on the East Coast. I am completely at a loss as to what to do to help her anymore as the problem has become bigger than I or my sister can handle on her own. Where should I go for help? I don’t think my mom can survive much longer like this…physically, financially, or mentally. I am in Orange County, California. Does anyone know of any free programs that could help her or any suggestions as to who could provide her with some guidance? I don’t even know where to begin, and she’s barely able to take care of herself anymore. If anyone has been in a similar situation or has experience with this, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Girls only….?

Is there anyone in the Orange County, California area looking to just go out with a 6 foot tall, slinder, just divorced male. I’m just looking for someone to hang out with of the opposite sex. Not asking for a date, just someone to go to dinner, movies, and hang out with friends. Let me know.

Trying to make ends meet, how do we find our perfect place?

I’m a teenager who lives with family in north Texas.
(DFW area) I have lived here all my life but my mom is originally from Orange County California. She is getting fed up with the humidity and chance of tornadoes. She is also almost in the middle of a divorce.
We’re looking to move out of state but there are some problem areas, okay so many problem areas.

+ We would be renting when we first move and could probably only afford ,000 dollars rent per month for the first 6 months or so.
+ She wants palm trees while I could care less.
+ She wants beaches and I want mountains.
+ I want snow, she wants 90 degree weather.
+ I want beautiful scenery and as long as she has the beach and palm trees she’s good to go.
+ I want the east coast while she hates it(expect Flordia)

I’m more of a small city, nature loving into photography type of person while as long as she has her little ‘dream vacation’ she’s fine.
We would also need a place with high employment rate.
Not to mention if it’s below like 60 degrees in the summer for a nightime low then it’s out. I’ve seen pics of the Oregon coastline and the Ashland/Medford area and I really like it but she doesn’t. Blah.

Looking to rent a 3 bdrm in huntington beach,ca without a credit check, where can I go to find a place?

I am a recently divorced mother looking for a place to live in Orange County, California. Catch, I have a bankruptcy on my record. I currently pay rent and have on time for 6 months plus. I have references and a good paying job. I have till this weekend to be out of my current "slum" home. It’s bad and to top it off, my 4 year old is Autistic & Hearing impaired. Makes searching a bit harder when we live in San Diego. That’s about 100 miles south of Orange County. WE NEED HELP and our time is running out. Help us. We need a 3 bedroom for max 00. We can pay a deposit and 6 months rent up front. I have enough saved to make the move and pay our rent.

Thank you,
Melissa Smith

About Divorce in California?

in Orange County ,California?

Does anybody know where I can get counseling…in Orange County.. Not too expensive though?

I have deep issues from early traumatic childhood experiences… I recently broke up w/ my fiance/boyfriend of 10 years, and met a mad who was in the process of getting divorced who decided (from one day to the next) to "work things out" with his wife. I am in terrible shape… I start crying uncontrollably in the car while driving… when I see my lonely room, when I’m at the store.. I just feel terrible, lost, confused..w/out a purpose and not a big of happiness… I need help.
I reside in Orange County, California
