I inharited a 450,000 dollar home with my sister. She had bad credit so we quick claimed her portion to me so I could borrow some equity and pay the steep taxes and do some renovations and blah blah blah
I regretfully doctored the paperwork to embelish my work history and bank statements so I would get appoved for the loan. This was so bad,i know but I was scared about the state taking the house due to all the back taxes and fees so I acted out of fear and ignorance.

Fast forward 1 1/2 years…
My sister has gone NUTS!!!! she wont work, she wont take care of the house, she is terribly depressed and drinks a lot, she does not help me repay pay the mortgage, she kicked me out then my other sister a week later. I am left living with a friend with my baby while I pay the total mortgage on my own. In addition to all that, my sister is demanding I give her MORE money since she spent up the 60,000 I gave her already.

she calls me at all hours, demanding money, threatening my life, threatening to burn down the house and all in it!

Worst of all she said she will expose my fraud to the bank and have them foreclose on me. can this be done? I pay the mortgage, will they take my home and all the equity left in it?
Can I evict her? can I "divorce" her in court? Will I ever have peace again? Do I need a lawyer? I know she has contacted one (the fool called me thinking I was my sister IDIOT!)

Remember I do own the house…well with the bank too. What should I do?

I know that divorce for men is not easy. My partner and I are done, so how do I leave my ex without spending all my money on a divorce lawyer? Is there a way to get a free divorce? Any divorce advice that will help me win my divorce is greatly appreciated.

I plan on getting a lawyer, but hoping this can help till I get in to see one. It’s been racking my brain.

SITUATION
About two weeks ago, my ex called me up and told me that she was going to drop my daughter off at DCF if I didn’t come and get her cause she no longer had a place to stay. I called my mother up (I am a truck driver and wouldn’t be back for about 4 more days) and asked her if she could go get my daughter. Well, my ex found money to bring her down and my mother gave her money to get back home (ex lives in Iowa, we live in Missouri). Well, my mother and step-father typed and printed out a temporary guardianship paper for my ex to sign. I have not seen it but it is so my mother and step father have temporary guardianship over my daughter and there is no date set for it to end. My ex signed it without reading it. My name is not on it. My ex and I were never married. I do pay child support, which was established in Illinois in 2003. There was no custody deal set up. The only thing that was set up was that neither of us could leave state with my daughter without permission from the other. Well, my ex did it anyway. Anyways, my mother seems to be pulling something squirrelly and I don’t know what it is. I went and got my daughters birth certificate, and she keeps trying to get it from me. She said that since she has temp custody, I can’t even get my daughter into school or take her to doctor cause she has custody, not me. I have been planning on fighting for my daughter for a while now, just been waiting to get out of the truck in order to do it. I am moving into my own place in a couple of days, and I am worried that my mother isn’t going to let me take my daughter.

QUESTIONS:
How legal is that temp guardianship thing that my mother had my ex sign?
Where am I on this whole deal?
If it is legal, how do I fight it?

My husband and I have been together for 4 years and married for 1 year next month. My husband has a 9 year old son with his ex-wife and since me and my husband have been together he has only seen his son 3 times. Their divorce decree states that he get every other weekend. Everytime he would call to come pick up his son, his ex-wife would give an excuse. (i.e He is busy right now playing monopoly with his friends) My husband would get disappointed everytime and we know we have to get a lawyer to even get her for contempt or court and we dont have that kind of money. So my husband simply gave up knowing that when his son grew older that he would be able to explain why he was never around. Now what makes my husband and I upset is that he pays 8.00/mo with a 7.00/hour job in which he has recently put in a request to lower that but point is we r paying for a child that we dont even see so its more like a debt or fine, but recently we seen his ex-wife and son in the grocery store and she comes up and talks to him and they agree on letting my husband get his son for the weekend after valentines day weekend……so we exchange #’s. but the next night we get a call from her and shes crying to my husband telling him to come back to him and that she misses him and if he doesnt she’ll kill herself and so we just brush it off bc she was drunk and we thought she’d b over it soon. The next day she calls asking him to come over and bring her medicine and my husband blows her off but later she has his son call and have him go pick up his son to go get v-day cards for school. When we drop him off at home he gives my husband a letter that we find out his ex-wife wrote him and how she loves him and how having sex with him felt and a real detailed letter which makes me mad and its comin2 me that maybe she didnt let my hubby c his son bc she is obsessed with him and she constantly has his son call and ask for him to come over and visit him which all of a sudden has just started since wrote him that letter…? is——-#1 do i have a right to be mad? #2 what can i legally do to stop this? #3 How do i handle this?, if for one…I dont want to come between my husband and his son since now he’s getting to see and hear from him often

My mother put down a huge downpayment for my husband and I to buy a home. The house is only in my and my husband’s names, so there is no proof that she gave us that money. We put in writing (a typed up 3 page document) that if we were to divorce or I die, that my mother becomes the owner of the house since she put 6 figures down on it. My husband signed it, and a girl at the bank notarized it-the last, third page of it anyway. If I were to die or we get divorced, will those papers that we created and signed hold up in court, or would we need a lawyer to draw up more official papers? Or is there something even better that we could do that I have not listed??

My husband and I are in the middle of a divorce. We went to the hearing to set the temporary spousal support, and my husband agreed to pay the mortgage and give me 3K/month until the divorce is final. Both of us and our lawyers signed a Rule 11 Agreement…Now my husband is going back on what he signed and said that he can not afford to give me the 3K/month. My lawyer has filed a Motion to Enter the Temporary Orders, and we have to go back to court this month.

So my question is how likely is it that he can change the terms of the Rule 11 Agreement that we signed earlier? Will he have to pay backpay (he was supposed to give me money this month and hasn’t)?
Only serious answers please…I don’t need comments about anything else. I have a 4yr, 3yr, and newborn. My husband is very emotionally abusive, has hit me, and is now having a affair. It’s time for me to get out.

Ex husband took second mortgage out on our house. In divorce he said it was his responsiblity to take care of it, cuz he used the money for his personal use. He neglected to mention this in the divorce and two years later sued me to get me to back pay him on it and also to be responsible for it. The judge ordered him to pay it for two more years, seeing as I never recieved alimony. After the two years I am supposed to apply for a mortgage to put my home loan and this 2nd mortgage of his, into one loan of my own. If I am unable to refinance (which I was unable to do), he is to motion the courts. But what I need to know is if I need to tell him or the courts that I was unable to get this loan…who do I tell…do I need a lawyer right away for this?

Well i am 16 turniing 17 in October and I live in Southern California. I am responsible for myself and just want to be independent already. I am tired of living in California and I want to move to Nevada. My mother cannot because she is getting divorced and since my brother is still young they don’t let her move. Through my whole life ive been pretty unhappy; My family was never really a family because we never went out together or did normal things a typical family does and well that has kind of traumatized me. I am also tired of being told what to do and it makes me feel trapped and imprisoned and i can’t take it anymore. I was so unhappy i tried to kill myself two weeks ago but after than I realized that is not a solution to my problems. I know my mom loves me but I am simply not happy anymore. I also have a boyfriend that I have been with for over 3 years and since I tried to kill myself she is trying to separate both of us and won’t let me see him; she say I have to wait until I am 18. I see no difference I mean what’s the difference between now and 18? She says I can be with him just not see him. So i’m really tired of this because I just want to be happy and independent; make my own money, buy my own things ect. So how can I get emancipated and move to a different state because this is confusing me.

i am no longer on speaking terms with my parents who set up an account with our bank with money supposed to be used for my education in it. i contacted the bank and they told me i was the beneficiary on this account but they could not tell me any more info about it. the bank told me to contact a lawyer to get a court ordered junction to get this money and i was wondering if someone could give me all the info possible on the legal and banking sides of this. i am 21 years old and plan to use the money to go to college. thank you
it was theirs but it was set up in an account for me but not for when they pass away. the bank was pretty insistant that i should call a lawyer and get a court junction but im also not sure how to go about that besides contacting a lawyer. also which type family law or banking law?
