How to find out if a divorce document is legal or not?

My parents had split up 3 years ago after 18 yrs of marriage. My dad moved out the same night after an argument. 1 year later, my dad hands my mother a document stating thats the divorce paper. Yet again, she had never gone to a court, nor received any kind of documents by mail, nor signed ANY kind of document before. We went to several courts, but they all say that we ahve to go to a lawyer. Each lawyer that i call wants to charge me. How to find out?

We are in a fight with our family…We need a lawyer…Please help us!!!!!!!!!?

I married my husband and he and his dad( when he was 17) bought a car for my husband. My father and mother in law are taking possession of the car when it is in my husbands name first and foremost. They have the cops on their side(its a small town) and they are mean and hateful for no reason what-so-ever. His family is attacking me and their son for every reason in the book…and they wont give us the car back. We need a lawyer…and bad! Only thing is we are newlyweds, buying a house and have a two year old, money is not exactly growing on trees for us…his father is threatening physical abuse against me and his mother is also doing the same thing…I feel horrible because they obviously hate us…and are out to get us…what can we do, legally, to either get the car out of my husbands name, and get them out of our lives?

Should I become a lawyer?

I’m easily stressed, don’t manage time well, well-spoken, stiff, mild Asperger’s, worry over every little thing, did a Canadian Law course in school did NONE of homework, what I did do was a pain in the ***, but something keeps saying for me to be a lawyer. Why is this? How do I get this out of my head? I’ve got a slight temper, am easily offended, can’t deal with poeple,don’t enjoy reading, would feel bad prosecuting, couldn’t defend someone I know is guilty, couldn’t do civil law, I’d feel bad for litigants, couldn’t do family law. My dad says lawyer is a good job, but my mother says she would never want me to be a lawyer, so should I just respect mom’s desires and stay away from law? I get REALLY stressed and confused when my routine changes, and want a predictable job, where you know what you’re up against when you go to work, which doesn’t seem to be a lawyer’s job.

Is this a good job for me? Someone with mild Asperger’s?, How do I get this out of my head? Please be thorough.

What is the difference between divorce and annulment?

For of all, I hate divorce and I fear if I married one day, I’ll get divorced and lose what I worked hard to get since the US court system is gender biased.

My parents have been going through a nasty divorce for almost 2 years and my dad says men are typically screwed after the divorce.

Would it be better if a couple had an annulment instead of a divorce?

I think my parents are getting a divorce, my dad is taping divorce shows and I am very worried, what should I look for to see strengthen my theorie of my parents divorce. Also are there any ideas tlon how to stop a divorce?

What happens during a divorce with a house and a mortgage?

My situation is this. My mom wants to go through a divorce from my dad after being separated (not legally) for more than 6 years. All this time my mom has been paying off mortgage payments for the house herself among other bills. If they go through the divorce process, can my dad legally get a piece of the house when my mom sells it? Can anyone shed some light in this.

my parents ALWAYS fight over the stupidest things…like this night they fought -screaming fighting- at eachother because they couldnt decide on what to watch on tv……my mom does get annoying when she repeats herself but my dad is the worst,,, she’ll try to tell him about her day and he says COME ON GET ON WITH IT or I JUST DONT CARE……and he is never a gentleman….but hes sometimes funny……….i hate the fights and i wish they would just divorce because it would be easier on me and my brother….marriage with fighting is way worse then divorce with peace right??? help me out

My mom is thinking about getting a divorce from my dad in a couple of month. I don’t know what to think about it. I want her to get a divorce because my parents just don’t understand eachother, but then I feel guilty because I want my dad to leave. Have any of your parents ever gotten a divorce, and how did you handle it?

Family Law advice, In PA. WHat do I do???

About 3 weeks ago a lady from Allegheny county filed paternity
papers, but heres the story…
The boy was born in 1992, I was 17 when she got pregnant and she
was in her early 20′s. SHe did not tell me that the baby could have
been mine, she moved to PA. I live in West Virginia and she did to at
the time. The boy has another mans last name and on his birth
certificate.
I hired a PA lawyer and in the beginning they said that because
it was kept from me I might not have any obligations. well now I will
have to pay support if he is proven mine.
I guess what I need to know if proven as the father,do I have
any rights to what she has taken from me, You can’t build a
relationship with your child after so much time has passed. I have 2
children that I am a very involved Dad. If I had been given the
chance I would have for the child in question also.

I would really appriciate any help or advice!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
