I am needing a free or low cost family law attorney in the Houston area. I have physical custody of my sisters son (7) & we are suing her ex (his dad) for child support. He is hiding from being served & refuses to pay or even come to court. Whenever we have spoken to him he always threatens us with getting visitation. We are VERY fearful that he will get visits & he has MULTIPLE felonies & has been in prison twice. I need help because we need him to help financially support his son? I know what you’re thinking, he has a right to see his son, but he is dangerous & its not in his sons best interest?

i am looking for a good family law attorney for macon ga, some one to nail my exhusband so he will quit taking me to court every six months for nick pick things… i have let him just have his way.. i didnt have the money for a lawyer for divorce i just signed he got house i got what my family gave me thats it.. …he got the goldmine i got the shaft.. we changed child support and then again i let him have what he wanted so he would just "leave me alone.". that backfired.. so now its my turn for the goldmine and he needs the shaft.. any suggestions would be greatly helped..

My son is having problems seeing his daughter . His ex is using his child as a pawn and he is not sure how to get representation, as he can’t afford a lawyer . he does pay child support on time evry week .He went to leagal aide and they said he was unable to get help due to that his ex is in the system. What he wants to know is this, can he get a simple divorce online ? There are no assets to speak of at all on either side. Would an online, simple divorce work? my husband is filing for modification for child support because he lost his job a year ago and he tried to keep up but is to high. the ex went and got a lawyer and want to obligate my husband to pay her lawyer plus us to get a lawyer and also she denied the modification because she does not want it to be modified. i am the only one that is working we can not afford a lawyer and child support told us that by doing it by court is the only way why she hired a lawyer, if is only a modification, can we stop this and if we give the lawyer all the document they are asking is saying yes to her demands, the court told us that they will set up a date and wait. what can we do she is harrasing us.

Orange County, California: I have sole physical custody of my two boys and receive about a week for child support from the boys’ mother. However, I have paid for ALL of the general expenses throughout the year (sports regisration and fees, dentist bills, haircuts, clothes, etc). These expenses are now in the thousands of dollars and I think that their mother should help pay for at least some of this cost.

What is the best way to handle this, other than hiring a divorce attorney? How can I get her to start paying for some of these expenses?

My lawyer states I can expect nothing more than the base guidelines for child support and alimony. I will never work, my youngest child, 8 years old is severally mentally disabled, married 16 years, ex to be income 0,000, my income on SS 20,000, plus childrens SS disability 10,000.
