I have no friends anymore?
Um I need some help, here’s a little background info. so hopefully you can give me some advice. I went to a private school until i was 13 and in 8th grade. i was one of the most popular girl in the school, had loads of friends, and was very happy. But then my parents got divorced and i had to move to a new school in a new, snotty, beach town in orange county (think laguna beach but worse). it has been 3 years since i moved. i only made one close friend but she ditched me. i feel like i have grown to become more mature than my peers and i am not interested in their dumb drama- who hooked up with who, etc. i really couldn’t care less. i don’t know how i’m going to handle this last year of highschool can anyone give me any tips? and my school is very cliquey. the people are so snobbish. i don’t know what to do. i get along so much better with adults. i feel like im a 30 year old trapped in a 16 year old right now it’s so frustrating what do i do?

It may sound corny, but get involved in groups or in volunteering in your church and giving back. You meet some of the best and "real" people and may even make some friends for life.

I would suggest that you find some friends outside of school. Think about what you like to do or would like to learn such as dance, sing, play volleyball, swim…Then start taking a class or join a club that does that thing. Chances are that since it is outside of school, there will be people of different ages there. As far as high school goes, you will be done in no time and once you go to college it will be a completely different world, trust me. The superficial, immature people who were popular in high school often have a hard time in college while the more mature have a great time. My only word of advice would be to be careful with some of the older people you meet, some of them (especially guys) might try to take advantage of you because of your age. Good luck!

Find friends at the mall, movie theatre, church, community service, etc. Screw high school. It’s just one big popularity contest.
I was incredibly unpopular in my school and most of my friends went to other schools.
