I am about to fire my divorce lawyer. How can I get the money back that he has been prepaid?
How long should it take in order to get the money back? I would like to use it to pay my new lawyer

Unless you can prove your current lawyer was violating your rights or didn’t do anything for your case, you can consider your retainer gone.
I’m assuming you signed a contract with him. Check that and see what it says about getting back your retainer. I’m almost 100% sure though that you will never be able to get that back.
