How do I look for a good divorce lawyer?
I am wanting to get a divorce. However, I do not know of any lawyers to help me out on this. And I do not want to go flipping through the yellow pages to find one. So how can I go about looking for a good one that will be everything I want? We have two small children involved so it is crucial that this is a smooth and easy process for them. Thank you.

Ask around. Advertisement by mouth is the best advertisement.

some times you have to just trust your own good judgement , but at times like this it is wise to have a good recomendation from the courts . I suggest you go to CITY HALL and ask for a list of top divorce lawyers in your area .

You likely have friends who have been divorced. Ask them if they liked their lawyer. If they did, check him/her out on http://www.martindale.com. You want someone with an AV or BV rating who does domestic relations work.
I would recommend starting with the internet. Go to this site: targetlaw.com and do a search for divorce lawyer. You will pull tons of lawyers from this engine. Next step is do a little investigation of each attorney by looking at their websites. Make a decision on a few and start calling around. Link below….
