Help! Looking for a pro bono lawyer in grand rapids, Michigan family law serious answers only!!?
I am divorced for 3 years. my ex and I have joint legal joint physical custody. he has them through the school year and lives 100 miles away. for the past 2 years he has had our 8 yr old on ADHD meds and i knew absolutely nothing about it. I want to take him to court but I do not have the money to do it!! I need some help desperately with this situation!!
the reason I have no money to fight it……I pay him a ton in child support!!! I just need someone to tell him how to get him to inforce our divorce judgement. Or to get some help for our 8 yr old who has extreme behavior issues. I don’t know where to start.

That’s why he has him, he has the money and you don’t!
If you want custody, then you should pay! THE END…

You won’t find a lawyer who will work for free. Usually lawyers only take high profile cases for free, if at all… It’s their livelihood, their job… The can’t afford to work for free. Nobody can, really…
On the other hand, you don’t need a lawyer for Friend of the Court business… Do it yourself.. You have a right to complain to them and they have the responsibility of investigating for you, for free. Write a letter, make a phone call, but get the ball rolling asap. It will take a few months or more to resolve it.

You need to contact your local county bar association for good Pro Bono attorneys.
Attorneys, just like doctors and mechanics, like to be paid for services. I doubt you will find a good family law attorney on YA who is willing to provide anything more than a few line answer.
What you need is someone who will draft and file the proper documents, and represent your interests before a judge.
Good luck!
