do you need a lawyer to keep your kid after divorce?
daughter has a lawyer, husband is contesting divorce, & her lawyer wants more money, & she does’nt have it. husband has’nt paid any support since the split. she’s afraid shes gonna lose her son because she wont have a lawyer.

Most lawyers will work out a payment plan. Do not mess around with this – she needs a lawyer.

The better question is who is a more fit parent…
Oh yeah. She needs that lawyer. But she might look into getting one that has a payment plan or something. She won’t get anything until it is ruled on. She has to petition for custody of her son, and that costs money. If she can’t get the current lawyer to work something out for her, she needs to look elsewhere.
