Hi I’m a 17 year old female who lives in southern California. I have been living with my dad for the past two years and have supervised visits with my mom.
How could I change custody from my dad to my aunt and uncle? They live in Utah and would love to take care of me for the next year until I am 18. Can I do this legally without having to bring in lawyers? My parents are going through a nasty divorce thats lasted for the past 6 years.

If unsure whether or not to divorce, but spouse is unwilling to try marriage counseling or personal counseling what is a person to do? If spouse has mental problem but will not get help, should the other spouse remain in the marriage?
Have just come to know there’s such a law. I came upon it by sheer coincidence as I searched for means to help a hospitalized family member. Knowing about this law has gotten me thinking so much!!!
Are there any outstanding cases which have come because of this law?
And what do lawyers or law professor see wrong with it?
Is it detrimental to patients in general, even if in indirect way?
A married couple is driving down the interstate doing 55 mph. The husband is behind the wheel. His wife looks over at him and says, "Honey, I know we’ve been married for 15 years, but, I want a divorce."
The husband says nothing but slowly increases speed to 60 mph.
She then says, "I don’t want you to try to talk me out of it, because I’ve been having an affair with your best friend, and he’s a much better lover than you."
Again the husband stays quiet and just speeds up as his anger increases.
She says, "I want the house." Again the husband speeds up, and now is doing 70 mph.
She says, "I want the kids, too."
The husband just keeps driving faster, and faster, now he’s up to 80 mph.
She says, "I want the car, the checking account, and all the credit cards, too."
The husband slowly starts to veer toward a bridge overpass piling, as she says, "Is there anything you want?"
The husband says, "No, I’ve got everything I need."
She asks, "What’s that?"
The husband replies just before they hit the wall at 90 mph, "I’ve got
the airbag!"

when my wife and i split up she immediatly said she wanted a divorce its been four months and we have hardly spoke to each other and she has still not done anything about it does this mean anything?
she told me to leave her alone and not call so i have respected it.
All she did was work and come home telling stories about a bloke she was working with and then she started going out on work outings with this bloke and he started texting her all the time and the final straw came was when he text on xmas day and it made me very mad and i accused her of having an affair with this bloke.

She wants a divorce for a closure but says their is a possibility of getting back in the future. I have talked to a lot of people and they say not to give her the divorce because once I give her the divorce it is done. Their is no way I will get her back. I want to make her life as easy as I can but I want her back. So I guess the question is should I give her the divorce and do you think the chance of getting her back is gone if I give her the divorce.
We have been seperated since Jan. and she says that she wants this cause if we get back together and it does not work out one of us can just leave. The divorce is already over it is like she is watching her back.

I have always had an interest in being a pediatrician and i have told others that that’s what im going to be when i grow up, but the thing is when i took a test today and it asked me something about the law i automatically new the answer. Being a lawyer has run in my family those who were lawyers were great defense lawyers at that. Can anyone tell me how to decide or give your opinions on the topic?
My mom and dad are gettin a divorce and im not neccisarrily ok with it but ive kinda accepted it… its just that my dad is givin up all of his farm sstuff and i know he really loves it and hes goin to live in the house with all the land the animals are on so i dont see why he doesnt just keep them…. i just dont want him to give up somethin he loves so much… how do i help?
